Mandy Mouser - Children Ministry Director

Mandy Mouser was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. She grew up in a family of four where her parents demonstrated a strong foundation in Christ. She graduated from Texas A&M and taught in public schools for 10 years. In 1985, she married Larry Mouser and through their continuing years of marriage were blessed with two children, Josh and Katelyn. After teaching in public school; Mandy taught preschool, ran a part-time home toy business, and was fortunate enough to have a schedule that enabled her to be home with her kids until Katelyn entered Kindergarten.

In 1994 her family found a church home at Abundant Life and then from1996-2006 was the founding director of the Ark Children's Center. After 10 years with the Ark, she was called into full-time ministry as the Director of Gateway Kids Children’s Ministry. God continues to give her the drive and passion to make an eternal difference in our future generation -and a heart for loving and leading our awesome volunteers and staff in Gateway Kids.  Learn More About Mandy

Terri Kent - Elementary Coordinator

Terri Kent taught preschool at Abundant Ark from 2001- 2008, and taught dance in a studio for 23 years. The Kents started attending Gateway in 2004. Terri joined the ministry staff as Elementary Coordinator in May 2007. Terri was born and raised in the great state of Texas where she met her husband, Dennis. In October, they will have been married for 32 years. They have 3 children ages 28, 25, and 21. Terri is a proud grandmother of two precious grandsons, Tyler 8, and Cody 4. Her passion in ministry is to make an eternal difference in the lives of children by reaching out to them, showing them love and acceptance, and helping them discover who God is and how much He loves them through exciting and engaging programming.  Learn More About Terri

Charlotte Morse - Early Childhood Coordinator

Charlotte Morse is a native Houstonian. Charlotte, her husband Richard, and her two sons - Austin and Chase, began attending Gateway when it was still Abundant Life UMC in 1999. It was the first Church, after attending 30 or more Churches, that her sons' requested to return to because they loved the Children's ministry so much!

Charlotte began serving in Children's Ministry herself immediately following their attendance in Discovering Gateway and has been there since. Her husband Richard serves with the High School students. Charlotte also was a preschool teacher at the Ark Children's Center for 6 years. In May of 2006 Charlotte began working part time with Gateway Kids and became the full time Early Childhood Coordinator in May 2007. She enjoys serving beside the volunteers; singing and dancing for God with the children; holding and loving babies; but mostly she loves doing what God has instructed her to do.  Learn More About Charlotte

Christy Mayhew - The Ark Children's Center Director

Christy Mayhew and her family have been members of Gateway (formerly Abundant Life) for 12 years. She and her husband, David, have three children and one grandson. Christy is the Director of our preschool, The Ark Children’s Center. She has taught in public school, and then began at the Ark as a Kindergarten Teacher, Assistant Director and now the Director. Her passion for education and love for children merge perfectly at the Ark.  Learn More About Christy
