Church Council and Senior Staff
Gateway Community Church is a staff-led church that is held accountable through its Church Council.
The council is composed of Gateway members who are highly committed to the DNA and Vision of this church, and have demonstrated their commitment through their leadership and actions within the church and in the community. The council meets the third Monday of most months, as well as on an as-needed basis.
Church Council
• Protects the DNA and Vision of Gateway Community Church
• Holds the senior pastor accountable for DNA and Vision
• Serves as a place for congregational input to the staff and church leadership
• Approves major ministry decisions and annual budget

• Determines the ministry direction, strategy and priorities within the context of Gateway’s DNA and Vision
• Oversees the daily management of the church
• Nominates council members (seeking individuals who are fully committed to Gateway’s DNA and Vision) for approval by council
