THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!
All hands on deck! Prepare for a groundbreaking day of community service as Gateway closes its doors after the first service on SUNDAY, May 18th, to go out and be the church! On that day we will go out as an army of hundreds of volunteers to serve together in the community as one body in Christ. We will do work projects at several area elementary schools and a ranch for at-risk youth in Dickinson. Contact Mike Malkemes or Eva Go, to sign-up and get involved. Don’t miss it! Missions
Generation One, a non-profit organization, is looking for 12 big brothers (men are key, as there is a huge need for male mentors) and 12 big sisters to mentor children 6-15 years of age in the Third Ward of Houston. The commitment averages 5 hrs a month in the Third Ward. The macro focus of Generation One is freeing the next generation. Mentoring comes in to play as volunteers give a child a good example, support, and some one they can talk to.
Families, couples or singles can be mentors. If you are interested, contact Kenzie Jackson at 281-900-1994 or email Kenzie Jackson.
