Volunteer with Gateway Kids
Every Sunday, Gateway Kids volunteers show up and work together in their own unique roles to create an incredible and loving environment for our children. We could not exist in Gateway Kids without their leadership and expertise.
We believe that serving on our Gateway Kids Children's Ministry team is on of the most exciting places to serve at Gateway Community Church. Our volunteers have the privilege of introducing children to Jesus Christ. You do not have to be an expert to work with our children at Gateway, but you do need to have a heart that loves God and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children!
We have numerous opportunities to serve within Gateway Kids. Some of the volunteer roles are:
Classroom Helpers care of an assigned group of children on a Sunday morning. Serving commitments range from every Sunday to odd or even months rotations.
VIP Guides in the Nursery, Preschool, and Kindergarten
Huddle Coaches in Elementary
Small Group Leader in fifth grade
Student Helper can assist without parent supervision after age 12
Special Blessings loves, teaches, and encourages Special Needs children. Serving commitments range from every Sunday to odd or even month rotations.
Kid Connect keeps our children safe and includes Check In, Team GPS (first time visitors), Hallway Monitors, and Greeters. Serving commitments are on a rotation schedule.
Teachers tell the Bible stories and brings to life through creative storytelling and drama. Serving commitments are on a rotation schedule with other team members and include prep and planning meetings every other months
Activity Guides rotate to nursery classrooms and tell a simple Bible story.
Early Childhood/Elementary use drama to make Biblical truths relevant to childlren
No Strings Attached uses the art of puppetry to animate God's Word.
Tech gives technical support on Sundays via sound, music, lights, and computer technology. Serving commitments are on a rotation schedule.
Gateway Kids Arts use the art of song, dance, and instruments to engage our children in praise and worship.
Guitar Brigade lead music with instruments and song to our littlest ones.
HK2 are junior high students who lead our early childhood in praise and worship.
His Kroo are high school/college students who lead elementary in worship.
