COVID-19 Update from Randy & May 7 Survey Results

Posted by Randy Hageman on

Thank you, Gateway Family, for helping us better understand what you're facing right now through our survey. Almost three hundred of you responded, and we'd like to share some of the results with you. And just so you know, we may send additional surveys, to make sure we understand what our church community is going through. As you review the graphs, hover your cursor over the abbreviated questions on the left of each box to reveal the complete question.

We have begun exploring the process for re-entry into onsite worship services, using guidance from government authorities, the CDC, other churches and your own input through the survey. I know some of you are eager to get back, but I also know some of you are very concerned about staying safe. Our highest calling is to love one another as Christ loves us, and the Apostle Paul reminds us that there are times when we need to be careful that we don't do anything to cause our neighbor to stumble. So, we're going to be cautious, in order to keep everyone safe and to make sure we can do all that it will take to safely return to onsite worship.

Our goal is to lay out phases, not based on a time schedule but on other criteria to help us discern when it's safe to take a next step. We'll be sharing those phases and steps with you as we work them out. Please continue praying for your church family, our community and world, and our team working on these phases and steps.
